Today we present a project carried out for a container terminal in the port of Castellón, expanding its capacity to control the weight of containers and adding to the process of responding to the needs of its customers.

It has direct rail connections with the interior of the country and serves the Mediterranean area, the Middle East and North Africa, has a terminal area of 120,000m2 and an annual container capacity of 250,000Teus that make this terminal one of the most important logistics points of the Mediterranean coasts.

Its facilities and infrastructures are equipped with a complete technological equipment, including high-capacity cranes, telescopic stackers, empty container handlers, forklifts and weighbridges  installed by Giropes.

On this occasion, they have opted for a BPGSM model of 18 meters in length and capable of measuring up to 80Tn in weight, fully verified in legal metrology and ENAC certified, ensuring good management and control of heavy loads.

The weightbridges support various accessories such as license plate reader cameras, access control barriers, indicator lights or self-service terminals such as the GST4 that transform them into a very convenient and agile tool when it comes to perform its function.
