Guinea produces around 50 tons of gold annually, in addition, it is estimated that its potential reserves of this material range from 700 tons, making Guinea the seventh largest producer of gold in all of Africa.

With an approximate area of 245,000km2, the industry accounts for more than 37% of the country's GDP, where mining is a key contributor to economic growth and job creation in West Africa, making gold an important commodity in Guinea, as international exploration funding in the country is increasing significantly.

A common feature in gold mines are deposits with coarse-grained sediments that are transported with dumper vehicles, or in other words, trucks that have a tilting box to load and unload large earth movements in quarries, tunnels or as in this case, mines. To be able to control and manage these earth movements more efficiently, Giropes installed a weighbridge managed by a GST2 terminal with connection to the G2Automatic software and UHF reader kit that reads and records the access credentials of the vehicles, turning the scale into a self-managed station that does not need an extra operator to manage it.

The weighing station is complemented by a CCTV and ANPR camera system that provides visual control of the vehicle license plates. In addition, it includes the Gestruck software that will allow them to remotely manage the terminal from any PC.

By using terminals that automate the weighbridges, drivers can perform all weighing operations without the need for external assistance, thus boosting efficiency and the flow of vehicles to monitor.
