Commitment to installations in renewable energy plants
Recently Giropes has carried out various installations in renewable energy plants
In recent years, biomass treatment and its use for the creation of thermal and electrical energy has increased significantly. Many companies rely on this new business model within the energy sector in order to be able to produce energy with a much smaller carbon footprint than the traditional method.
Proof of this new trend are the installations that have recently been carried out in two important renewable energy plants.
The most recent and most important is the installation of two truck scales in one of the largest biomass plants in southern Europe, located in Cubillos del Sil. This installation is in addition to the one previously carried out in Riudarenes (Girona) and Argentona (Barcelona), where different weighbridges were installed for biomass collection and treatment companies.
Giropes has not only carried out installations in biomass plants, but to close the year 2019 it also carried out an installation in a biogas plant in Vilanant (Girona). This plant, managed by the company Apergas, makes use of the organic waste generated by a farm, together with industrial waste provided by local companies, to produce energy.
This installation is in addition to the one carried out in 2009 in Sant Esteve de Guialbes (Girona), once more at a biogas plant which was managed by the same company and which was one of the first biogas plants in Spain.
